In August 2020, with the publication of the Spanish translation, What are Demons?, the Demonology Series written by pastor Ki-Dong Kim has been all translated into English, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, and Spanish. The Demonology Series consists of Demonology I: What is the Devil?, Demonology II: What are Deceiving Spirits?, Demonology III: What are Demons?
The Demonology Series is a book that complements what pastor Ki-Dong Kim preached to teach the spiritual world in-depth that the saints must know as pastor Kim has done his ministry for more than half a century. Many Christians do not know about the spiritual world, and according to that, they do not know the truth and have a religious life ideologically. For this, the writer wrote the book hoping that all Christians will have a life of spiritual victory through the knowledge of the truth, it is not using the great spiritual power that God Father gave us through Jesus from the cradle to the grave.
The reason why the writer wrote the Demonology in three volumes is the operation of the Devil, deceiving spirits, and demons are all different from one another; their identities are different. God created all creation in the world, and all creation lives as God’s will. However, one of the angels rebelled against God and fell from Heaven to Hades; finally, it became the spirit that holds the authority of the air. The Devil continually causes a division between God and man. The deceiving spirits are the angels that were sent to help the saints, but they were turned. The demons are the spirits of dead unbelievers that is the spirit that causes the curses and sufferings that we all experience.
God Father sent Jesus to destroy the Devil, and then through Jesus, anyone can win over the Devil. Therefore, knowing the Devil is the authority for those who received salvation and has the power to have a victorious spiritual life that Jesus commanded.
As the word says, “He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work”(1 Jn 3:8). The cause of sin is from the Devil and not to know the Devil, it means people do not have will to fight with sin. Usually, people think of the grace of Jesus Christ conceptually, but they do not indeed know the grace of Jesus Christ, who fought and overcomes and destroyed sin. We must know that the root of sin comes from the Devil, and we should surely realize that sin is spiritual.
We should not ignore the spiritual issues that Jesus taught in the Bible. Jesus cast out demons from the day that He preached the Gospel, and He also gave authority to His disciples to cast them out. We should remind ourselves, “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you”(Mt 12:28). We have the right to have great power as the Lord’s word said so. Also, we must praise the greatness of the power that the Lord has given us. Not only be humble in front of the Bible to know and learn but also confirm and practice to become spiritually competent believers. Therefore, until Jesus comes again, let us have victorious spiritual life and receive a crown of splendor.
